Waiting for the Skagit Tulip Sunset

Waiting for the Skagit Tulip Sunset

After driving up to Mount Baker earlier that morning and having a nap and lunch at the amazing La Conner Brewpub, I decided to scout around the Skagit Tulip Fields for potential color.

As the day ran on, it became clear, or unclear, that the sunset wasn’t going to happen, so I switched to macro mode and looked for patterns amongst the red, yellow and multicolored tulips. My lenses were my Zeiss 50mm f1.4 and Minolta Rokkor 58mm f/1.2 handheld with minimal post processing.
