Over Seattle. Aerial Shooting with Sony a7r2 and Zeiss 55mm

Got about an hour’s notice to go flying but I can definitely be ready quickly.  We flew for about an hour around Seattle and I was able to capture several great shots.  Most were keepers in fact.  I was shooting through glass in a Robinson R66 copter. #seattle #aerial

Canon 11-24mm Another Opinion

Pros: Does 11mm. Substantial for the cost. Sharp. Does a nice job of making Nikon 14-24 shooters defensive.
Cons:
Canon colors. Has no soul. Superwide is a thrill for only so long.

This is an amazing piece of engineering. Everyone raves about it and calls it a game changer. I rented it twice and then bought. I’ve tried to like it, honestly. Its super sharp, substantially built. Does a nice job of making Nikon 14-24 shooters defensive. But it has no soul. The images don’t make the hairs go up on my back. Zeiss is my home.

Canon 11-24mm Tulip Fields in Skagit, Washington

I rented the Canon 11-24mm lens to try it out on my Sony A7R2 up in the Skagit Valley tulip fields.  The ultra wide angle lens seemed like a great fit amongst the rows of flowers.  I adapted the lens onto my Sony using a Metabones III adapter and everything worked great.  Colors were typically Canon and flare was at a minimum. #svtulipfest #roozengaarde #canon
